Watched latest Twice Time To Twice, called Tdoong Pocha. This has been advertised as a bit of a booze fest, where most of the members get drunk on alcohol. So far it’s just been a grocery shopping expedition and games session. Sana, Momo, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu elect to do the shopping, and we watch their progress, while the others stay at some venue where they do various game tasks to score enough money to help fund the other members’ shopping trip. It’s a fun idea, especially watching the four shoppers be completely clueless about what to get. I was amazed it looked like they were in an actual supermarket with other shoppers walking around seemingly oblivious of who they were. If I was in a supermarket and encountered four members of Twice I’d be flabbergasted and wouldn’t stop staring. I thought they would at least close off the supermarket and let the girls roam free. The shopping expedition turned out to be a bit of a farce. When the shoppers got back and showed the others what they’d bought there was confusion and disappointment. Jihyo and Jeongyeon were especially vocal in their disappointment. They were wanting cooking ingredients, but the shoppers mostly got snacks. It made me wonder why the shopping group hadn’t taken orders from the others as to what to get before they left. It was kind of funny, but also a bit awkward. At one point Jihyo said, ‘Let’s order takeaway’. I assume the next episode will feature a cookup and mukbang. Bring it on, my silly awkward puppies!
It was Friday, so there was the new TTT of Tdoong Pocha ep 2. It was the heavily-promoted and anticipated mukbang and booze session. Chaotic fun. All the girls but one, Dahyun, were drinking alcohol. Both Mina and Momo seemed to get under the weather quickly and looked sleepy.
The others, who drink ‘well’, seemed to be having a blast. A highlight was Dahyun’s questionnaire about JYP. Their struggle to answer the question of the name of his first group was manic. At least one response was hilarious – ‘Old Generation’. What was Chaeyoung’s wish for Mina? The episode cuts teasingly there.
Over dinner and booze I watched Twice’s TTT Pocha part 3 which was obscene Twice fun. It turned out Chaeyoung’s wish for Mina was for her and Sana and Momo to give them a private performance of Misamo’s Do Not Touch – or as Chae called it in her drunkedness, Touch Me. They duly obliged with their ‘tipsy’ version to cheers of their members. Then it was time for Tzuyu to do something similar with Run Away, which was done with the help from an enthusiastic Jeongyeon. Mina was asked which member she would like to have for a baby and she chose Chaeyoung, saying she would be ‘manageable’ because she’s so well-behaved. This was a charge an incredulous Nayeon found hard to believe. There were so many classic moments, so many soon-to-be memes it’s hard to know what else to mention. A lot of questions were fired off, like What does Once most like about Twice? The main response to that one was that they are nice and get along with each other and are funny, which sounds about right. I would include The Music. I’ll leave off this with Kiamaepineda’s comment on Youtube comments: ‘This is the most intimate and closest to my heart TTT ever. I could just watch them talk and hang out for hours’. Amen.
